Corporate Governance

KGRTC is governed by a regional Board of Trustees (BOT) with members drawn from Malawi, Eswatini, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The BOT provides policy guidelines on the effective and efficient managing of KGRTC for the satisfaction of all key stakeholders. The BOT meets quarterly in Zambia and once in a quarter in the host country of the non-Zambian Trustees. The BOT functions with four main committees which report to the full BOT. The committees are chaired by Trustees who are all non-Zambian.

Management Team

KGRTC management is made up of five Senior Executives. These are responsible for all the day to day activities that takes place at KGRTC. They align KGRTC's vision, mission, structure, systems, culture and strategies in order to meet the organizations goals within our key areas of focus.

Academic Staff

The Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre has four fully qualified Academic Staff on full time basis. From time to time the Centre engages industry based professionals with outstanding experiences in their field of specialisation to work as Guest Lecturers. It is with this culture and background that the Centre will always endeavour to give participants the best Laboratory practicals, site visits and classroom lectures. All Academic staff have excellent research capabilities and keep close ties with the hydropower community world wide, a strength reinforced by current links with outside organisations such as the International Centre for Hydropower (ICH) in Norway and the International Hydropower Association (IHA) in the United Kingdom.
